Last of the Line (Maytree Press) 2021

Susan Jordan has lived in Devon for the past ten years, having spent most of her life in London, and enjoys being close to the countryside and the coast. She worked as a psychotherapist for a long time. She read English at Oxford and has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University, where she wrote both poetry and fiction. She has published two full-length collections of poetry, A House of Empty Rooms (Indigo Dreams, 2017) and I never think dark will come (Oversteps Books, 2021). Her pamphlet Last of the Line (Maytree Press, 2021) won Maytree Press’s Three Trees Portfolio Award. Her work has appeared in various magazines and anthologies. 

As well as contributing to The Waste Land Revisited compilations, Susan will be reading the dramatic monologue ‘Goodnight Sweet Ladies’ in the live performance of The Waste Land in Bath on Saturday 11th June 2022.

Susan’s cat is called Koala. He regularly joins Sue Boyle’s zoom workshops on The Waste Land and The Shapes of Poetry.
