Susan Jane Sims

Waste Land Revisited Project Treasurer

Susan Jane Sims lived happily for many years on the outskirts of Bristol with her husband Chris where she wrote poetry, worked as a counsellor and founded Poetry Space, a small publishing company. After the death of Mark, one of their four lovely sons, at just 28, Sue and Chris moved to Beaminster in Dorset to start a new project, Tangerine Cafe and Gallery. This is fast becoming part of its local community and a hub for arts based activities. She now continues to write poetry, has three collections to her name and is a regular reviewer for Artemis Poetry journal. She also continues to publish others alongside her new role of ‘chef’. In her time off she loves to visit the beach and  also to spend time at a flat in Bath that she and Chris bought some years ago.  Sue loves to collaborate with other writers and artists and has been a member of Bath Writers and Artists (previously Bath Poetry Cafe) for many years and values the friendship of the group. She attended Sue Boyle’s original face to face workshop on Eliot’s Wasteland and is looking forward to seeing how this new project develops.
