Graeme Ryan

Graeme Ryan lives between the Quantocks and Exmoor. Was Head of Drama for many years at Heathfield School Taunton and is the author of eight full-length plays for young people, including Heartland, Hope Street and The Name of the Beast. He has been a member of Bath Writers and Artists since 2016 and led a workshop day of poetry and drama based around Report from the Judenplatz in 2020. He is a co-chair and MC of Fire River Poets Taunton. He won first prize in the Teignmouth Open Poetry Competition in 2018, and third prize in the Torbay Open Competition 2017. He read at the Teignmouth Poetry Festival in 2019.His book Nature Notes Calendar was published in 2020. He is actively involved in conservation projects in West Somerset.Valley of the Kings, his debut poetry collection, will be published in Spring 2022.

Graeme will be taking part in the morning and afternoon sessions of The Waste land Revisited on Saturday 11th June. He is also co-hosting the three showcase zoom concerts for members of the Waste Land Revisited workshops and chairing The Waste Land debate later in the year.
